Welcome back friends, family and members of the APW universe!!! We are back for a third and special episode of Interview with The Vampire this week with Isaac Frost!!! Incredibly excited to get this opportunity to sit down with him and get some insight and backstory on who exactly Isaac Frost is!!!
Tommy: “You came into APW absolutely on fire, and that flame has yet to be extinguished…. what tips/tricks do you have for the rooks in the locker room to stay on top of their business?”
Isaac: “Well, first and foremost, Tommy, I’d like to thank you for having me. I’m a big fan, and I also believe congratulations are in order on becoming world champion. As a token of my appreciation and gratitude, I’ve brought you a bottle of Frost-branded whiskey. It’s been quite a journey, coming out as hot as I did and staying that way—that’s the real achievement. And well, that’s what we do in the Frost family, Tommy. We hone our craft to perfection. Consistency and ambition are integral parts of what we do at the FPC. So to the young talent coming up, I’d say push through the growing pains and never give up. Stick to your craft, find the area you’re strongest in, and build on that. Stand firm and take nothing from anyone. Call out the biggest, baddest names in the locker room and make your mark in the company in any way that you can. Create connections in the locker room, make friends and enemies—especially don’t falter on the latter. The more enemies you have, the better, in my opinion. All it takes is a spark to light the flame, and if all else fails, stop by the FPC, and we’ll work with you to make you the best that you can be. Me and my family are looking to add new talent to our team with my younger brothers, Jake, Jack, and Max, working day and night with young superstars to help them reach their full in-ring potential. We’ve recently signed on a fellow APW talent in Adrian Knight; he is now a member of the Frost regime, and I myself will be managing him going forward. So for any talent out there far and wide, consider this your invitation; come on by and see what we’re all about at the Frost Performance Center.”
Tommy: “I must say, thank you for the the bottle of whiskey Frost…just so happens I keep me a few glasses on hand ***reaches beside him off camera and grabs two shot glasses*** we do things the right way here on the Interview! ***pours two out, hands glass to Frost and they take the shot*** now… you’ve been an integral part of APW’s roster, what are your goals here?”
Isaac: “Well, ultimately, I suppose my goal is the same as everyone else on the roster: to win titles, etch my name into the APW history books, and establish myself as a top guy in the company. But I’m already a highly decorated champion, from boxing world championships to MMA world championships to wrestling world championships. I’ve accomplished it all. So, as much as I want to win titles, and as much as I get drawn in by the allure of a championship belt, as I get older, I find myself caring less about the gold and more about the matchups that will stand the test of time. What is the world most likely to remember 30, 40, 50 years from now? Will it be how many titles we’ve won, or the exceptional matches we can put on? I don’t want to be just another name in the record books. I want to be remembered in the hearts of wrestling fans for generations to come. I want to be the best, and don’t get me wrong, I will collect every title I can along the way. But the reason I joined APW is for the structure and the exceptional matchmaking. When The Undertaker threw Mankind off the cell, there was no title involved. When Brock Lesnar beat The Streak, there was no title involved. It’s all about the moments for me. That’s what I’m going to remember, Tommy.”
Tommy: “I must agree with you on that one, hell…this beautiful belt was by happenstance, not disregarding the hard work I have done, but…I digress, who is one person in this vast locker room you want to square up with? What about the match type?”
Isaac: “Ooooh, you really got me there, Tommy. Because there’s so much great talent in this locker room that I’ve been watching, I can give you a list. But if I had to single out one guy who has stood out the most to me, I’d have to go with Stan The Fan. I think our styles are very similar, and I believe we’d put on that match I mentioned earlier, the one that would stand the test of time. As for stipulations, I think that would have to be just a straight-up one-on-one Iron Man match—no special rules, no weapons, just a good old-fashioned Iron Man match letting skills be the driving factor of the match.”
Tommy: “Ah, Stan is most definitely a great competitor, him and I have shared the ring a few times now and it’s always been a banger! Now, if you wouldn’t mind, I would like to talk about your brother, Isaiah, who has recently joined our roster and has made an impact over on High Altitude immediately. What can you tell us about him?
Isaac: “Ha what can I tell you about him?
Well, He cannot be trusted first and foremost. The guy poisons everything he touches, He’s a disloyal, No good human being who takes no accountability for his own actions. He makes everything about himself. He’s ever the victim and I pray they keep him over there and away from stampede. Because if I never have to share a locker room or a space with him ever again it would be too soon. The guys an ego maniacal psychopath.”
Tommy: “Well, that is some strong distaste you share there…last but not least…knowing you and your brother don’t see eye to eye, can you shed any light on this? Did something happen?”
Isaac: “Well, that’s a long story, but I’ll do my best to be brief. As children, we grew up with an addict for a mother and a half-absent, half-abusive father until he eventually passed away in a drunken car wreck—a master of his own undoing, my father was. Skip forward a few years, my twin brothers, Jack and Jake, were born, and not long after, our foster brother, Max, came along. We grew up in a very rough neighborhood where many of the kids slipped through the system and ended up in bad homes, my brother Max being a prime example of that. Isaiah ran the streets with his goons and his guns and was in and out of prison most of his life, affecting our lives as well. Leaving me with an addict mother to care for and three younger siblings all on my own, when I needed him the most, he was never there. We bounced from house to house as I did what I had to do to keep a roof over our heads, which usually came in the form of an underground fight club until my trainer, Otis Grant (God rest his soul), came along, and I finally got my big break in the World Juniors Boxing Tournament, where I dethroned a six-year champion. From there, the sky was the limit, and we exceeded even that. As much as I tried to employ and help Isaiah, he smacked my hand away at every turn. He eventually came to live with us once more, where he needed for nothing, still, he chose to live the life of a criminal. I pleaded with him for years to join the family business and put his talents to good use, but he was too set in his ways, and along the way, in the midst of his dirty dealings, something must have gone wrong. Late in the evening, some of his former associates decided to break into our home to rob the place for whatever they could salvage from the losses incurred by Isaiah’s mistakes. I woke in the night to the sounds of ruffling and evidently had a run-in with these men in the dark where, in the struggle, a gun went off, and I ended up with two bullets in my gut, one sitting on my spine. They then proceeded to light the… House on fire, leaving us to die. Luckily, we all made it out safely on account of my younger brother, Max. But my career was over. Years went by before I was eligible for surgery that would allow me to fight again, so I chose to follow my gut and become a professional wrestler. I opened the FPC with my three younger brothers. Over all this time, Isaiah was nowhere to be found. We’d all thought him dead or in prison, but he resurfaced when I signed my first major contract with a wrestling promotion. He rode our names into the business. After everything, he has the nerve to show his face and follow me around…”
Tommy: “Oh man, and I thought after all these centuries I have had some horrible things happen to me, I feel for you and this unfortunate situation…safe to say I am now not much a fan of Isaiah either…either way Isaac, this has been an emotional rollercoaster and a great interview nonetheless! I want to thank you for your time and, well the bottle…man that stuff was delicious!!! Until next time Frost…and all the lovely people of APW…stay forever, stay IMMORTAL”
