Join me on this epic adventure into the minds of “The Most Chaotic” superstar, Wes Grimm and the legend himself, Agony, as we sit down together before their massive match at OMEGA!!! This is a high-risk, high-stakes match where we see Wes, put his newly awarded APW World Championship on the line against a worthy adversary in Agony…who is putting his CAREER on the line. Agony, who spoke in the past about retiring has had a luxurious season 2 here at APW, but never quite completed “his story” in capturing a title, but that all could change at Omega…where he has an opportunity in not only winning a title but winning THE title!!! So, join us…and read this crazy press conference transcript on what these two had to say before their SPECTACLE of a match!
Tommy Vachon points his attention at Agony to kick off the press conference: “It’s been a journey for you here in the world of professional wrestling….why retire now?”
Agony responds whilst glaring at Wes and turns his focus – but not his gaze to the Vamp, “Oh, I’m not about to retire. Now six, seven months ago I was ready. You can only take being a number one contender for so long. Back then, it was work. Since my brother came back, the Championship situation hasn’t changed any, but I’m having fun. Nearly as much fun as I had 20 years ago. Now it’s either take APW’s proverbial ball or go home.”
Tommy listening intently; “Thats understandable, I am sure it has been nice to become reacquainted with your brother after so long”
Tommy, then switching his focus to Wes: “As season 2 comes to a close, you’ve had one hell of a run…captivating the world with Chaos and bringing it to a head with winning the big one, how does it feel?”
Wes responds eagerly: “How does it feel, Tommy? It feels like the world finally caught up to reality. Chaos ain’t just somethin’ I bring—it’s who I am. Season 2? That was just me settin’ the foundation. Now? Now we’re buildin’ an empire of destruction, and I’m sittin’ on the throne. Every step, every broken soul in that ring, every moment of bloodshed—it wasn’t just a run. It was destiny. It was prophecy. And look where we are… right where I said we’d be.” Wes slowly turns toward Agony, eyes sharp, grin creeping in as he shakes his head. “So that’s what this is about, huh? ‘Take APW’s ball or go home.’ You tryna convince me? Or yourself? You say you’re havin’ fun again, like this is some nostalgia trip for you. Like this is some old-school reunion tour where you get to relive your glory days. But see, Agony, I don’t play that game. I don’t step into this ring for fun—I step in to destroy. To conquer. To make sure every single man that stands across from me remembers why my name is carved into this company’s foundation.” “You say you ain’t about to retire? Good. I don’t want you walkin’ away. I want you right here, right now, facin’ the reality you been runnin’ from. You ain’t the boogeyman, Agony. You ain’t the monster under the bed. You’re just another man who thinks he can stare into the abyss and come out the same. But you won’t. Because the abyss? It stares back—and I am that abyss.” “So go ahead. Talk about how you’re ready to take the ball. Talk about how you’re havin’ fun again. But when that bell rings, when you’re locked in that ring with me, when every breath gets harder, when every move feels like it ain’t enough… you’ll realize somethin’ real important.” “This ain’t a game. And there ain’t no ‘going home’ when I’m the one standin’ in your way.”
Entertained by Wes’ antics, Tommy turns towards Agony: “You have a chance to save your career and win the ultimate prize here in APW, how are you feeling mentally? And why Wes, why pick him to end your career on?”
Agony now turning his focus toward Tommy: “Mentally, I’m exactly where I need to be. I’ve talked about focus – I haven’t been more focused on anything, ever. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve lost sight of everything else. Mixed tag – lost. Six man tag – lost. Hell, a few weeks ago, we went one on one for the first time – lost. The Alpha Pro Wrestling World Championship is going to be the icing on the cake. Everyone saw how this started. My brother – running his mouth as always – chimed in on Grimm’s call out. For whatever reason, Wes decided that was enough to start a war. He destroyed the locker room and beat Pain half to death. Then his witch put a voodoo curse on him. I’m not doing this to avenge Pain – I’m doing this because the beast within me isn’t allowing me to let Wes Grimm’s career continue.”
Intrguied by anger in Agony’s voice, Tommy turns to Wes: “How do you feel knowing you may be the one who puts a legend down for the final count, and why?”
Wes…grinning from ear to ear in a manical way: Wes leans back in his chair, cracking his knuckles, a slow, eerie grin spreading across his face as he listens to Agony’s words. When Agony finishes, Wes lets the silence hang for a moment before leaning forward, resting his elbows on the table, eyes locked onto his opponent. “So that’s the story you’re tellin’ yourself, huh? That I started this war? That I broke your brother and cursed him like some fairytale villain? Nah, Agony. You got it twisted. Your brother opened his mouth, I shut it for him. That’s what happens when people forget their place. And that curse? That wasn’t me—that was the universe remindin’ you what happens when you step into my world unprepared.” He chuckles darkly, shaking his head. “But let’s talk about you. You’re out here listing every match you’ve lost like it’s some kinda badge of honor. Like your failures are fuel. Like somehow, after all that losin’, you’ve finally got enough anger, enough focus, enough beast in you to take me out.” Wes leans in further, eyes gleaming with something unhinged. “You don’t. And deep down? You know it.” He then shifts his gaze to Tommy, exhaling sharply before smirking again. “How do I feel knowin’ I might be the one to put a so-called legend down? Tommy, I feel alive. I feel like this is exactly how it was always meant to be. Agony wants to make this some poetic end to his story, like he gets to decide when his time is up. But he don’t get that choice—I do. And why? Because he ain’t fightin’ for the title. He ain’t fightin’ for legacy. He’s fightin’ ‘cause he don’t know how to let go.” “That’s the difference between us. I know exactly who I am, exactly what I am. I don’t need no excuse to do what I do—I am the excuse. I am the reason careers end, the reason grown men look in the mirror and wonder if they still got what it takes.” “So, Agony… this ain’t about savin’ your career. This ain’t about some beast inside you tellin’ you to take me out. This is about you standin’ in front of the inevitable and beggin’ for one last fight.” Wes’ expression darkens, his voice dropping to a near whisper. “You wanted me to be the one to put you down? Careful what you wish for.”
Tommy, squaring himself between the two behemoths, squint his eyes and says loathingly: “How does it feel knowing that at either moment, in a matter of seconds, both of your lives will change instantaneously? And that any member of The Lost Souls could put an end of such a luxurious moment?”
Amused, Agony responds laughing at the last question, “No offence, Tommy. Lost Souls got no teeth. When y’all went and burned down Stampede, it came back. Hell, I kept it rolling by offering up my training dojo and that spawned the Stampede World Tour. Lost Souls got some guys that are good in the ring, no question about that, but whatever you try to destroy just comes back better than before. Stampede is returning in all it’s glory in APW season three – if you hadn’t heard…”
Wes tilts his head, tapping his fingers against the table, amusement flickering in his green eyes as Agony talks. When Agony finishes, Wes exhales sharply, shaking his head with a smirk. “So that’s what you’re holdin’ onto, huh? That everything you’ve lost somehow made things better? That the ashes of what you had just magically turned into somethin’ stronger? Cute. Real cute.” He leans forward, voice dropping slightly, but the weight behind it is undeniable. “You don’t rise from ashes, Agony. You stay in ‘em. You just got used to the smell.” Wes chuckles, running a hand over his jaw before continuing. “You can laugh, you can talk about rebuildin’, about how everything that burns just comes back bigger—but that ain’t how this works. That’s not how I work. You say Stampede’s comin’ back? That it’s returnin’ in all its glory? Man, that’s real nice… but you ain’t gonna be around to see it.” “You keep actin’ like this is just another step in your story, another challenge before you rise again. But you ain’t hearin’ me, Agony. This ain’t a setback. This ain’t a loss you walk away from and spin into some ‘better than before’ bullshit. This is the end. This is where the last page turns, where the lights go out, where all that fight, all that struggle, all that holdin’ on to whatever’s left finally comes to a close.” He smirks, but there’s no humor in his eyes now—just certainty. “You just don’t know it yet.”
Tommy, realizing that Wes completely blew off his final question, sits there puzzled…wondering how it didn’t invoke the chaos within like usual…“Well, boys, thats all the time I have left to give a…..”
Before Tommy can finish his sentence, the lights begin to flicker….the lights in the room flicker once… again… and the room is engulfed in darkness. The sound of chairs and other furniture being knocked over is all that viewers have to guide them. Moments later, silence. A spotlight flickers on and sees Agony leaning against a wall with blood coming from his mouth. The camera turns to find Wes Grimm on the floor with blood on his neck as the season two finale of Interview with the Vampire comes to an end…
